IN06 · Education

Goal: learn 11 words and phrases for talking about studies and exams.

Before you start

This level assumes the elementary level and elementary grammar. From here on, words are in kanji with their reading above; in the reading round you'll see the kanji alone.

This lesson assumes what you saw in the earlier ones. If something feels shaky, go back to it:

What you learn

Many study words take する: そつぎょうする (graduate), にゅうがくする (enter a school), りゅうがくする (study abroad).

Words

You practise them in kana; underneath you can see how they are usually written.

Practice

Two rounds: first you read each word and type its romaji, then you pick what it means. No romaji on screen.

Reading in context

A short text with words and grammar you already know; kanji carry their reading above. Read it and answer.

A student talks about her plans:

大学だいがくを 卒業そつぎょうしたら、日本にほんに 留学りゅうがくしたいです。

  1. What does she want to do after university?
