GE03 · Conditions: 〜たら

Goal: say what happens if or when (6 example sentences).

Before you start

The sentences use words you already know, up to the elementary level, and assume basic grammar.

This lesson assumes what you saw in the earlier ones. If something feels shaky, go back to it:

What you learn

〜たら、〜

ら after the た-form says «if» or «when»: あめが ふったら、いえに います (if it rains, I'll stay home). With い-adjectives, after かった: やすかったら、かいます (if it's cheap, I'll buy it).

Examples

Practice

Two rounds: first you pick what each sentence means; then you complete it with the missing form.
