E20 · Opinions

Goal: learn 10 words and phrases for saying what you think of something.

Before you start

This level assumes the beginner level and basic grammar. Words you already met are marked and do not count as new.

This lesson assumes what you saw in the earlier ones. If something feels shaky, go back to it:

What you learn

すき and きらい are な-adjectives, and what you like takes が: ねこが すきです (I like cats). Note: たのしい is fun to do; おもしろい, interesting or funny.

Words

You practise them in kana; underneath you can see how they are usually written.

Practice

Two rounds: first you read each word and type its romaji, then you pick what it means. No romaji on screen.

Reading in context

A short text written only with the kana and grammar you already know. Read it and answer.

Leaving the cinema, someone says:

えいがは つまらなかったです。ざんねんです。

  1. What did they think of the film?
