GE15 · Reasons: 〜し、〜し

Goal: give several reasons (6 example sentences).

Before you start

The sentences use words you already know, up to the elementary level, and assume basic grammar.

This lesson assumes what you saw in the earlier ones. If something feels shaky, go back to it:

What you learn

〜し、〜

し after the plain form adds reasons or features: やすいし、おいしいです (it's cheap, and tasty too). い-adjectives go as they are; nouns and な-adjectives take だ: あめだし、さむいです.

Examples

Practice

Two rounds: first you pick what each sentence means; then you complete it with the missing form.

Reading in context
