G29 · Going to do: 〜に いきます

Goal: say what you go to do (6 example sentences).

Before you start

The sentences only use words you already know from hiragana, katakana and the beginner level.

This lesson assumes what you saw in the earlier ones. If something feels shaky, go back to it:

What you learn

〜に いきます/きます

With いきます or きます, に after the ます stem says what you go to do: えいがを みに いきます (I'm going to see a film). With action nouns it goes directly: さんぽに いきます (I'm going for a walk).

Examples

Practice

Two rounds: first you pick what each sentence means; then you complete it with the missing form.
